Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Safely and efficiently operating a company-provided or own van (subject to agreement) to complete a pre-planned multi-drop delivery route across Leicester and potentially neighbouring counties like Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
• Loading, securing, and unloading goods, ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage, particularly important for fragile retail stock or time-sensitive documents.
• Accurately checking delivery notes and manifests, obtaining signatures (POD - Proof of Delivery), and managing any returns or collection paperwork throughout the shift.
• Providing a professional point of contact for customers at each drop, which may involve basic customer service interactions, resolving minor delivery queries, and upholding the client's brand reputation.
• Completing daily vehicle checks (walk-around checks), reporting any defects immediately, and maintaining basic cleanliness of the vehicle's cab and load area.
• Using handheld terminal (PDA) or mobile apps for navigation, delivery confirmation, and real-time communication with the depot or transport office.
• Adhering strictly to driving hours regulations (WTD/tachograph rules if applicable) and all road traffic laws to ensure safety and compliance at all times.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this Multi-Drop Driver role in Leicester, you will need to meet the following criteria. We assess all candidates thoroughly to match them with clients who value safety and professionalism.

• A full, valid UK driving licence (Category B) with a maximum of 6 penalty points. A clean licence is highly preferred by most of our clients for insurance purposes.
