Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties
- Safely operating company-supplied vans (up to 3.5 tonnes) for daily deliveries and collections across Glasgow and the Central Belt.
- Efficiently planning delivery routes using satellite navigation and digital systems to meet strict time windows, a critical skill for any professional driver.
- Completing vehicle checks (pre-start and post-trip) and maintaining accurate driver log sheets and digital tachograph records where required.
- Loading and unloading goods securely, ensuring all items are safely restrained and undamaged during transit, often involving the use of manual handling equipment.
