Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Duties
- ✓Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and bar bending schedules to determine the placement, spacing, and size of reinforcing steel.
- ✓Measuring, cutting, bending, and fixing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) using powered and manual tools, ensuring strict adherence to specifications.
- ✓Installing pre-fabricated cages, tying rebar with wire, and using spacers and chairs to maintain correct positioning and concrete cover.
- ✓Working collaboratively with groundworkers, crane operators, and other trades to ensure efficient sequencing and a safe, productive site environment.
