Core Responsibilities & Duties

• Conducting patrols and static guarding of assigned premises in Blackpool FY1, including commercial buildings, retail outlets, and public facilities.
• Monitoring CCTV systems, access control points, and alarm systems to detect and report suspicious activity.
• Providing excellent customer service as a first point of contact, offering directions and assistance to visitors, staff, and the public.
• Completing detailed and accurate incident reports, logbooks, and handover notes for each shift.
• Acting as a keyholder, performing lock-up and unlock procedures, and ensuring all security protocols are followed.
• Responding calmly and professionally to emergencies, incidents, or conflicts, following established procedures.
• Conducting bag searches and perimeter checks as required by the client's security policy.
• Working collaboratively with other security personnel, site management, and emergency services when necessary.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

• A valid, in-date SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence – either Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
• Proven experience as a Security Guard, Security Officer, or in a similar role is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong observational skills and a high degree of integrity and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Basic IT skills for report writing and email communication.
• A 5-year checkable work/history and the right to work in the UK.
